green tea with a very subtle fruity character |
Story |
Never heard of osmanthus tea? It's a pure delight from China (that
they tend to keep to themselves...). Blossoms from the Chinese Osmanthus tree
are gifted with a naturally sweet fragrance, adding a subtle fruity character to
green tea.
This local
speciality
comes from the Province of Guangxi in China. The osmanthus tree is also
native of China and its blossoms appearing in September-October are
known
for their natural sweet fragrance all over the province.

Preparation |
For 1 person, place
1 level teaspoon into an infuser in a cup. Infuse with fresh hot water
(stop
the kettle when just starting to see or hear tiny bubbles forming – don’t
boil it) for 3 minutes (no more). Always remove the infuser so that it
doesn’t
carry on infusing… |
